Brush Hollow Reservoir Loop is a 3.2 kilometer lightly trafficked loop trail located near Penrose, Colorado that features a lake and is good for all skill levels.

Due to irrigation drawdowns, this reservoir is subject to extreme fluctuations. We ended up going over 3 miles and much of it had to make our own trail down cliffs and through areas covered in cockleburs.

However, m ost fish contain traces of mercury. I would not rate this as an easy trail - 40 minute miles, hard to follow trail, and some of the rocky hills we had to navigate through - definitely more of moderate level trail, even with having parts were flat and open. There were no clear marked trails and no signage. I visited this location twice, once in 2014 and again in 2015 to try to track down the Barquero locations.
