Anyways I first replaced the coolant temp sensor and then this thing would be fine one second then only 1.5 miles after starting it up and driving the dash starts Dinging and displayed ENGINE COOLANT HOT A/C off for engine protection.
Thank you for asking about your PT Cruiser.
but they were almost too hot to touch.
That would be the best place to start. The next day I did the same thing, although I only warmed up for about 10 minutes. Is that normal my car just runs hot ig not really much to explain.
what could possibly be the issue? She said it was overheating and smoking from under hood the smoke was white .
Based on your description, it is also possible that you are getting combustion/exhaust gases pumping back into the cooling system. When I’m driving, the temperature gauge is at half. So sometimes I think I am little sensitive to stuff like this.
Continue to monitor your temperature gauge and coolant levels to make sure it isn’t overheating. But when I have to make a quick stop after being on the road for a while, and go to start it up, the temp gauge reads 210 or slightly higher. Its still doing the same thang Thank you for asking about Chevy Tahoe. Head Gasket Failure.

Is the vehicle losing water/coolant?
If the problem persists, you may want to bring the vehicle to a certified ASE mechanic for a proper diagnosis.Im goin to try that ty let you kno wht the out come isI have a 1995 6.5l diesel. The best place to start would be to ensure the thermostat is functioning properly. Perhaps the thermostat is stuck closed and not allowing proper circulation. Engine not even hot yet and car have been parked for 2daya. Hi er car won’t even make it a mile before over heating again. I have a 2004 Toyota Sienna with 130,000 miles on it.
Thank you for asking about your Toyota Sienna. It’s about 40 degrees outside. No leaks. I had heat on full blast. Some manufacturers recommend replacing the water pump and flushing the cooling system every 90,000 miles, maybe something to look into. If you can pinpoint the faulty hose, replace it and then bleed the system to get rid of all the excess air. When driving my car for about 20 to 35 km the heat gage shows normal, then all of a sudden it became hot and the needle move to the red, stays there for a while and slowly move back to normal, and go to hot again.
The Suzuki XL-7 is the number one used car to avoid.
But then within a minute it comes back down to about the 1/4 mark, and will fluctuate between the 1/4 mark and the 1/2 mark..Also, the vents inside fluctuate in temperature..
What to do if your temperature gauge reads hot. This may be normal operating temperature for your vehicle.
If everything else is working properly, air being trapped in the system would be the only explanation for this.
If the issue persists, you can try using a block-dye test to confirm whether or not you have combustion/exhaust gases pumping into the cooling system.Hello, 2005 Nissan Altima, out of the blue my heat hand started getting pretty high.
... Sticking T-stat. Any suggestions?
They call themselves doing something , but my car is still not fix and I paid them for work not rendered.
If neither works to solve the issue, your best bet may be to bring the vehicle in for a proper diagnosis.I have a 1997 chevy lumina and I have 243,000. From the sounds of it, you may have an air pocket trapped in the cooling system, causing the temperature hand to fluctuate.
Another possibility is that jellied antifreeze or other debris could be clogging/restricting flow. I changed the thermostat, the water pump, the sensor. We recommend having the cooling system serviced, using a radiator flush to make sure that the system is thoroughly clean and that no foreign debris/jellied antifreeze can restrict circulation. It gets good fuel economy and drives fine, it’s just on a day above about 75 degrees if I’m driving at low speeds (below 45mph) or sitting and letting the car idle for a few before shutting it off, I have to blare the heat to cool the engine.
