COKER, Ala. – Lake Lurleen State Park officially opened its newest trail on Thursday, named the J.W. We camped at Lake Lurleen State Park in a Motorhome. It's a hidden little gem. Many sites have full hook ups. Camp out at Lake Lurleen State Park for Game Day weekends. However, the restrooms are adjoining, so water is available. The trails hug the shoreline of Lake Lurleen and are open to both hikers and mountain bikers. The park also features a Nature Center, fishing, meeting facilities, paddle boats, swimming and a beach.Lake Lurleen offers 91 modern campsites with water and electric hook-up; 35 sites have sewage drain connections.

Offering both full hookups, and partial (with only water and electric), the sites have access to decks, picnic tables, and there are on site pavilions with permanent grilling stations.

The lake is stocked with largemouth bass, bream, catfish, and crappie so anglers are sure to reel in a nice-sized catch. My wife kayaks the lake, my kids swim in the lake and play on the well maintained sandy beaches, and I can mountain bike ob their rugged trails until my legs cramp!

The travel trailer has one queen bed with privacy, two full bunk beds, the table makes into a full bed, and couch is a sleeper sofa. We have 8 slots with full utility hook-ups located 1 mile from Lake Lurleen State Park. The room is heated and air conditioned with electrical outlets located around the room. Hey, after all, we're camping. The Annual Youth Fishing Tourmenamt and the Lake Lurleen Triathlon are normally held the second Saturday in June. Renter is responsible for replacing tables and chairs as outlined above, bagging all garbage, and leaving the room in the same condition as it was. The state park employees were as pleasant as they could be (while staying 10 feet away).
