According to Wikitree's list of Mayflower passengers, John Turner, born in 1590 in Waldon, Essex, England, married in 1615 in Derby, Derbyshire, England had seven children before he died in 1621. October 1563. English Origins. Almost half of the passengers died, suffering from an outbreak of a contagious disease described as a mixture of scurvy, pneumonia and tuberculosis. Little is known about John Turner and his family--even the names of his two sons that came on the Mayflower remain unknown.
