I saw it twice in the same night.I think they play it as if Peter was ignoring uncle Ben because he doesn't want to deal with this loss ever again, but now that (at the end of spider-man 3) he realises that he should embrace the bad things that happen to him, they can make him visit the gravestone of uncle Ben and tell him how sorry he is and how much he misses him!
