Do not get me wrong, I enjoyed the tv show and thought it was long overdue for an Asian American family to be the main focus of a show. As he finishes by saying, Eddie may not speak for all Asian Americans, but his voice is needed just as much today as ever. I read it soon after Kitchen Confidential, and I think this is definitely a better book in the same vein.
