ePub 978-1-4721-2559-0 i didn't know anyone that was interested in the same music as me, internet was still in the dial up phase, so i would go online, read some forums and articles, write down important songs, download one of them ibefore i start reviewing the book itself, i want to explain what david rodigan represents for me. I must admit that it brought back memories of clubs I used to attend and records I used to listen to.What a privilege to be taken on a journey by someone who has filled their life with something they absolutely love; meeting and performing with the legends who have created a genre which clearly runs through his very being. The best I can say about it (indeed about any book) is that I was sad to reach the end. For music-lovers and Reggae fans in particular this is a must-read. Would have been better as an informal musical history rather than an autobiography. The disc had some great cuts on it featuring more contemporary Jamaican music, but the last 20 minutes or so were taken up with a tape of a sound clash from 2006 featuring the sound systems LP International, Bass Odyssey and Rodigan. 3,99 € I was fond of Rodigan beforehand, but I'm smitten now. 'THE BOOK THAT EVERY REGGAE FAN SHOULD READ' John Masouri, Echoes'Rodigan can still claim a currency few presenters of his vintage can match.

I found the background information throughout the book about social and cultural contexts and changes in the UK and in Jamaica really interesting. as a person born and raised not even in the capital of serbia, i stumbled onto burning spear and black uhuru (of course, bob marley was always there) in the late 90s in my father's colection.
We've got you covered with the buzziest new releases of the day.

The lyrics, the riddims, the culture, the history, the origin, the personal/family nostalgia, and the originality are like no other genre. Reggae's been lucky to have him' Ian Harrison, MOJO'Rodigan was a major part of my childhood, he played the hottest tunes and in a style that just resonated with me and millions like me. I'm always a bit dubious of autobiographies written in conjunction with a second writer, concerned that the 'voice' of the subject will sound fake.
I’m over the moon to announce that my Autobiography ‘RODIGAN – MY LIFE IN REGGAE’ is being released on March 2nd! Great book for those of us who remember Rodigan from his days at Capital Radio. The worst I can say about it is it's written as if it's being told, like reading interview notes.
