I have found Blue walleye in Wynn Lake 60 km north of Ignace.
About ten years ago we caught 3 or 4 blue walleyes through the ice on the Willow Flowage (part of the Tomahawk River/Wisconsin River) in Oneida County, WI.

My name is Greg and i live in canada this past september i went to my cottage and we were cathing blues off the point.through out the day it was half and half.half blue half yellow walleyes i remember telling my uncle when i was a kid that the walleye's we were cathing up north looked darker than the ones in the south that was over 15 years ago.the blues we caught were a bit smaller than the other walleye we caught that day.my cottage is in northern ontario it is part of the montreal river. We kept 2 for cleaning/eating and their blue color seemed to get somewhat more noticeable/intense the longer they were on the stringer. It was slightly over 1.25 Lbs and no evident slime at all, just blue from nose to tail. It's not uncommon to catch "blue Walleyes" in this part of the province. On May 20 we caught a blue walleye in Lake Nipissing off Cherry Point. We were then told by someone that this is an rare species. This fish was very blue, even witrhout holding it next to others I kept, it was clearly blue. I took some pictures, which do it no justice. However I let it go and had no camara. Strong coloration not faint. We didn't notice the color until we got home. We have received more sightings from the Armstrong area than anyplace else. We have a picture to share if you would like it.
