This is a nature lovers dream. in Wallasea Island . we visited on a Sunday and after following a long, narrow, concrete road with passing places we arrived at a small car park. Dogs on leads are welcome and as well as the rich variety of birdlife, it’s not unusual to spot seals.

The river, lots of different boats, the marina and lots of wildlife. It was lovely to go round the nature reserve, seeing the multitude of birds and developmental work.This is a beautiful area. Cant wait to go back and try all the different routes on offer.Visited this site after doing Seal sight seeing with Discovery Charters from Essex Marina. There are birds to see but just a nice walk in the country. Hire the best dog walkers . It’s been described as ‘a magical landscape of marshland, lagoons, ditches and sea’. This area is remote, with no short cut back and nowhere for sustenance en route! There are 3 options of walks of varying distances available, all on flat terrain. Pretty much a straight walk and back again to the car. Wallasea Island is an important habitat for many species of birds and mammals. Much prettier places to go My wife and I and our 2 dogs walked along the sea wall.
