We have preserved the heritage of one of the nation’s most unique transportation systems—the Fox River lock system. It is a bit tricky to find and you’ll have to drive through street alleys to get to it (see map). You could take out here, but it would make for a very short trip. Located in the Town of Waukesha on the river which shares its name, Fox River Park is full of mature woodlands, wetlands, and many species of wild flowers.
