Flathead catfish have been caught below most Fox River dams, including McHenry Dam, where 20 to 30 pound fish are not uncommon. The Fox River is a 202-mile-long tributary of the Illinois River, flowing from southeastern Wisconsin to Ottawa, Illinois. Yo-Zuri Pin's Minnow/Floating, fished over sandy, rocky, gravel along shore lines early morning hours 5:30am to about 9am is best.
