I expect the new ones to be on par quality wise with Epiphone. i dont care much about sound (well i do, but i could always swap pups, wiring etc) The Kramer Strikers I have are thinner necks, easier (for me) to play, comfortable and balanced. Buy the American 1984...its about the sweetest thing you will find under $1000, tone like nothing else...it just SCREAMS Eddie.I have an older Striker 422 (MIK) TOM bridge and Stop Bar Tailpiece that I bought from a friend for $150. Stays in tune. That's impossible! Some people dislike the quadrail pickups and some like them. The neck on mine is great, came with no sharp frets. Real solid feeling. If you have an account, I had one that played well, sounded pretty ok. Both of mine have Floyds, only issue is with the trem arm sometimes wanting to come loose. Kramer guitars are designed and built specifically for hard rock guitar players.

the only drag is that i prefer maple fretboards and the stopbar only comes in rosewood I dont know. The Striker FR 424CM is a great guitar, you can’t go wrong on this one.

In 2007, a Kramer Striker controller was created for Guitar Hero III for the PS2, under a licensing agreement with Gibson Guitar Corporation. It seems that it was true.
Some other guitars try to work for ALL kinds of music (country AND rock).
