First off a few words about the DVD: The quality of the picture is adequate for a film from the time (1971), but it is not on a par with modern HD standards. Peter O'toole really does the trick in this film of an Irishman single-mindedly (to the point of being bloody-minded) seeking revenge. good film well worth watching Contrary to what is indicated, the film does not contain a French track. O'toole played himself and I think he was made for the part. This is one of my favourite Movies, Peter O’toole is a gem, a film of high, nail biting drama.
Beautiful scenery, well acted by the three main characters, and the story line is an interesting slant on war. With Peter O'Toole, Siân Phillips, Philippe Noiret, Horst Janson.
