Born Sergi López i Ayats on 22nd December, 1965 in Vilanova i la Geltrú, Catalonia, he is famous for Pan`s Labyrinth in a career that spans 1965–present. As a youth he was inclined towards the performance arts and headed to France for further studies in the field.

I think it is great that the film does not consider any justification of fascism. He starts an affair and, as the film develops, it is evident that he has left his family to be with her.
