Uh no.. SSA OIG investigate all FRAUD, WASTE and ABUSE of Social Security #'s. It truly is a hidden gem. "Would I ever leave this company? There are blended lines within the 1811's and their missions often crossing lines. I have met a couple that are former FBI, Secret Service among others. One of SSA OIG's main jobs they also investigate criminal wrong doing of SSA employees etc.
I deal with DOJ OIG Agents frequently for part of my job and they all seem to like their gig. They have the same FED LE retirement and all those perks.
If you can get your foot in the door with them TAKE IT. Insurance, Medical Board, Dental Board, etc.
I do not know much about the position so if anybody could enlighten me that would be greatly appreciated.
